Hi,

Is there a way to keep the child topic showing even though the connected content (Knowledge articles) is expired?

Child topics are not visible in the menu if articles mapped to them are expired.

Thank you 🙂

Hi,

My apologies if my reply was confusing, but I'm talking about base functionality within the platform and this includes Topics/Child Topics regardless of where they may be whether menu, widget, etc. The same is true for other parts of the platform as well, such as Knowledge. If a Category doesn't have any active content, the Knowledge Category will not show. The same is true for Service Catalog, if a Category within the Catalog has no active content, the Category will not show.

Hi,

Out of box, that is by design. If the Topic/Child Topic doesn't have connected content that is active and available to the user, the widget(s) do not show the relevant topic(s). You'd have to customize the widgets to still show even if there was no "content".

Hi,

Thanks for marking my reply as Helpful.

I know it's not probably what you wanted to hear, haha, but that's how the platform works.

If you have any other questions, let us know?

Thanks and take care! 🙂
