The June 2026 release focuses on giving organizations more flexibility to tailor the experience for their employees, giving admins more visibility and control over how the experience runs, and expanding Employee Slate's reach to employees around the world.

Here's what's new.

What's launching in June 2026

  • Multi-theme Experience
  • Dynamic Home Page Layout
  • Enhancements to Admin Console
  • Content Feed Widget on Canvas
  • Enhanced Telemetry for Journey Analytics
  • Localization: 22 languages

  1.  Multi-theme Experience

Organizations with multiple brands, business units, or divisions now can deliver consistent Employee Slate experiences while respecting each group's unique identity. Multi-theme Experience lets you associate multiple conditional themes to a single Employee Slate instance, automatically serving the right branded experience to the right employees based on their context.

Here are the key capabilities:

  • One experience, multiple themes – Create conditional themes with distinct logos, colors, and branding elements. New themes inherit defaults from your primary theme, eliminating duplicate setup work.
  • Intelligent theme routing – A priority-based rule engine automatically determines which theme each employee sees based on user roles, departments, geographic location, user groups, custom attributes, time zones, or domains. Inclusion and exclusion rules give you precise control.
  • Streamlined admin controls – Configure themes directly from the Appearance section of the Employee Slate Admin Console with live previews, cloning, and priority management. A mandatory default theme serves as the automatic fallback.

No separate experiences. No duplication. Just the right branded experience, served automatically to the right people.

Refer to Multi-theme experiences product documentation for additional details.

  1. Dynamic Home Page Layout

Employee Slate home pages now adapt automatically to your widget configuration. Whether you're running a lean setup or a fully loaded page, the layout adjusts to ensure a polished, intentional appearance—no manual layout work required.

  • Automatic layout adjustment – The home page reconfigures itself based on active widgets, delivering a considered look regardless of content volume.

  1. Enhancements to Admin Console

The Admin Console now includes a new Tasks and Requests section under Configuration Summary, giving admins centralized control over Inbox configurations and AI behavior in one place.

  • Tasks and Requests tabs – Review existing task type and request type configurations directly from the Admin Console without switching tools.
  • AI Preferences tab – Control resource usage and generation behavior for task insights and request summaries. Choose Auto-generate (summaries load automatically) or On-demand (employees trigger manually), and set a daily usage limit for AI assists (0–100,000; default: 3,000). Setting the limit to 0 disables smart prioritization and reverts to due-date-based sorting.

Admins now have predictable control over Inbox configurations and AI resource usage from a single, centralized surface—no more hunting across multiple tables.

Refer to Tasks and Requests product documentation for additional details.

  1. Content Feed Widget on Canvas

           Requires Employee Slate Advanced.

The home page announcement carousel gives employees a glanceable view of company communications. My Canvas needed a companion: a place where employees can browse and read announcements at their own pace, without it taking over the home page.

The Content Feed Widget is a new out-of-the-box canvas widget that displays announcements in an infinite-scroll feed, visually distinct from the home page carousel.

  • Infinite scroll feed – Displays all audience-targeted content in priority order, in a continuously scrolling feed. The layout is responsive and adjusts to available canvas space, displaying up to 3 columns on wider views and scaling down gracefully to mobile.
  • Automatic audience targeting – Respects existing audience and visibility window settings without requiring additional setup.
  • Homepage promotion is now optional – Content authors can now choose whether announcements appear in the home page carousel. Unpromoted content still appears in the Content Feed Widget but no longer surfaces automatically in the homepage carousel.
  • Dual-surface authoring preview – Authors see how content will render in both the feed widget and home page carousel before publishing.

Admins can add the Content Feed Widget to the canvas widget library from the Canvas configuration section of the Admin Console. Employees can then add it to their personal canvas from the widget library.

Employees get a persistent, browsable communications view directly in their personal workspace.

Note: With this release, the home page carousel only shows content with an explicit homepage promotion set. If you have existing announcements that currently appear in the carousel, review them in the authoring editor and add a homepage promotion where needed before upgrading.

  1. Enhanced Telemetry for Journey Analytics

Proving adoption and finding friction in your employee experience used to require custom analytics work. Not anymore.

This release adds out-of-the-box journey analytics funnels that track how employees move through key tasks end to end. Covered areas include Home, Notifications, Org Chart, Inbox, Catalog, Knowledge, and more. The funnels show exactly where employees continue through a workflow and where they drop off.

  • Out-of-the-box funnels – pre-built journey tracking across Home, Notifications, Org Chart, Inbox, Catalog, Knowledge, and more.
  • No custom instrumentation needed – admins get ready-made funnel visibility from the moment Employee Slate goes live.
  • Immediate adoption visibility – pinpoint where the experience needs improvement and prove value to stakeholders from day one.
