Business Application Capability Relationships (How to see the entire Capability Hierarchy from App)

From the EA Workspace when you open up a business application, when you click to see the Infrastructure Relationships to see which capabilities the app provides, is there a way to see the entire hierarchy of capabilities to each capability provided by the business app?

Same question when looking at a Business App from the Business Applications table: Within the Relationships section of the Business Application form it only shows the bottom Leaf node of each Capability it's tied to. We'd REALLY like to see the entire Capability hierarchy all the way back up to the parent Capability, and wondering how we can accomplish this other than just from the Business Portfolio in EA Workspace?

Thanks for connecting with community for the query.

For point #1 - "is there a way to see the entire hierarchy of capabilities to each capability provided by the business app" - Certainly, below is the screenshot (EA Workspace -> Business Portfolio) which shows entire capability hierarchy and at each capability \ sub capability the associated business apps.

On point #2: "Not a direct & complete view but at least the one that would give an insight of current capability, it's parent and it's sub capabilities; in other words - Current then one level up and one level down along with the application."

I have created a short video to showcase this.

I understand this is not the best view but hope this is better than getting just the associated capability with that business application.

If you are fully up to date (as of today) - both your instance is Xanadu and your plugins for EA/APM updated, in particular the Enterprise Visualization and Modeling. Then go to that visualization and modeling page of the EA workspace and create a New Business Capability Map 

Add whichever Capabilities (or all) that you want to add to the diagram and SN will create a Russian doll style box view of the capabilities that you can open to also show the BA layer.

BTW, In the May release we plan to make it easier to add business capabilities to a business application from the business application record (and not just from the business capability hierarchy). It will also enable to see a list of the business capability that a business application is supporting.
