What is Technology Portfolio Management all about? Is it still a valid product or not?

the doc here says its legacy and also says one can install it from the store. so confusing !

 https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/xanadu-application-portfolio-management/page/product/applicat...

I just need to understand what is TPM in simple words?

Is it legacy or still used or has any replacement? or?

Thanks in advance

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

The legacy TPM data model and module access (ex/ the old gantt chart) are deprecated. The new TPM access is from the EA Workspace, using the new data model.

Yes, it is valid, and now part of the EA WS (Enterprise Architecture workspace). It enables you to evaluate the risk of outdated sw and hw on your applictions.

@mcastoe @Doron Orbach Thank you for replying. Then why does the docs say legacy and deprecated.

"Starting with the Xanadu release, the legacy Technology Portfolio Management module has been deprecated from Enterprise Architecture (formerly Application Portfolio Management). "

The legacy TPM data model and module access (ex/ the old gantt chart) are deprecated. The new TPM access is from the EA Workspace, using the new data model.
