Dear Community,
I am facing a situation where the organization, for which we are implementing BCM, cannot define in advance all the users that will get event tasks from an exercise or a crises event. As they said 'it could be anyone ' that needs to do something in a crisis or an exersice, we do not define them in advance', but ad hoc per exercise or if a crises strikes on the spot . This resonates with my experience in real life as well, but then again when I read the docs it says that these users need to have the following role to view and perform actions:
BCM Recovery Team member sn_bcm.recovery_team_member | •View the list of recovery tasks for crises and exercises of Functional type assigned by the BCM Program Manager. | Team Member The BCM Recovery Team Member is a secondary user who can view the plans and participate in recovery tasks | •Recovery Team Members |
What would you do in a case, where such list of users will not be available in advance? How will the ad hoc users get and edit recovery/event tasks that they will need to perform as part of an exercise or a crises?
Many thanks in advance!

Hello Iva,
You don't need to define the users in advance. Once a crises is started the task will open in the sequence.
Inside the task you are able to define the assignment group:
The assignment group is a default field of task table, só the users did not need the specific role.
Otherwise, you can create a new field (users reference) to populate with this users without the
sn_bcm.recovery_team_member. Just remember, you will need to adjust the notifications and the permissions for the users in this field.
Please mark my answer Correct/helpful,
