Repeating Assessment in Vendor Risk Management

Hi Team,

I need to know how repeating assessment works. I need to schedule below:

Recertification schedule: (i)Recertification assessment every year and (ii) Full reassessment every three years

Any idea on this?

The problem is , whenever i am creating a new repeating assessment for a vendor, a new Vendor Risk Assessment record is automatically getting created instantly.

Even though i am specifying 

Next assessment creation (months) - 6

Next assessment end date (months) - 12

Yes this is how it works. It will not reopen existing one.

I realize this is an old conversation but I am also wondering how to set a date for an a future assessment or reassessment.

We recently move to ServiceNow VRM and imported our vendor list from the previous GRC tool and a spread sheet.  What didn't come across are the reassessment dates from the past GRC tool.  

Now I just want to go into each vendor record and manually set a date for each vendor for reassessment.  Something that will alert me or appear on a report that the vendor is coming due for a reassessment.  I want to space out the reassessments and based them on last assessment and risk.

What is the simplest way to set such a date?
