Any role is needed to take control attestation? I have tried in my PDI without giving any role to a user and he is able to take the attestation in employee center portal. But I am also reading in docs that sn_grc.business_user role is needed.

Hi @gourav_aggarwal
the role you mentioned is needed to use the UI Anction to create an attestation, while the "Take assessment" UI Action can be used by the user that is "assigned to".
Kind regards

Hi @gourav_aggarwal ,
No special role is required for a user to take (complete) an assigned control attestation, even if they don’t have the sn_grc.business_user role, as long as they're the assigned attestor and working via Employee Service Center.
If they need to access or manage the attestation task via list views or forms outside ESC, or if they need to create a control attestation, then they do need the sn_grc.business_user role.

When you tested in Employee Center, your test user was the assigned attestor, so the widget allowed action on the task.
That’s why it worked without the role.
But if the same user tried to access attestation tasks in list/form view (outside ESC), they would need sn_grc.business_user.
