To know about out of the box process of control owner

Hello Team,

In Policy and compliance module, I was creating a new control but it is taking owner from the entity (profile) field and restricting me to modify it.

It is making entity owner to the owner of the control, however sometimes we don't want the same and we need to modify the owner of the control. But we have to do it via the list view.

I am willing to know about the context behind this and de-merits (if any) if we make the UI Policy (Make owner read only when sync owner is true) inactive or change the default value of "Sync with entity owner" field.

Kindly suggest on the same.

Hi @Vikram_Khatri ,

It's never advised to create a Control , it's always a best practice to create automatically using Control Objective.

Now, if you really need to create a control as per your requirement then, if you see there is a checkbox field called "Sync with Entity Owner", if you uncheck that , then, you can edit/ change/update the name name for the Owner :
