Workspace for GRC Business User Lite

Hi,

We'd like to create a 1st line user workspace for GRC views & tasks, like: My Entities, My Controls, My Attestations, My Risks, My Issues, etc. However, the OoB workspaces are only for Compliance Managers. Why is there no Workspace for 1st line users?

I've copied the Home Compliance Analyst workspace variant to Home GRC Business User Lite and created an Audience GRC Business User Lite, following the instructions: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/vancouver-application-development/page/administer/ui-builder/task... including setting the user_criteria property. But I'm still getting: 403 You do not have permissions to access this page.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Michael

Hello Michael,

 hope you are doing well!

ServiceNow has a dedicated Task portal for 1st line which is known as GRC Task portal and you don’t have to customise compliance workspace

grc business user can access the task portal from employee Center (/esc) portal or you can also create a left navigation link to provide direct link to grc task portal so that end user can easily access it

as a admin, if you want to add more links to grc task portal link like my entities, my controls, etc you can add them under my items tab of grc task portal and you can configure it using tasks page configuration (left nav module)

as an admin you can access it using now experiences left nav module

please mark answer as correct if it has resolved your query

also there’s a risk portal which servicenow is planning to retire soon, you can have a look

Hi Swapnil,

Thanks for your reply. I am aware of the ESC Risk & Compliance menu and the (to be deprecated Risk Portal). I wasn't aware of the GRC Task Portal. Thanks for pointing this out.

Is GRC Task Portal going to replace the ESC/Risk & Compliance menu and the Risk Portal?

It all feels a bit disjointed, therefore I was hoping we could use a workspace to build a more coherent user experience. What are your thoughts?

Thanks,

Michael

Yes, they are going to deprecate Risk portal and GRC Task portal will be used going forward

Compliance workspace will remain and will be enhanced further as it is meant to be used by LOD 2(compliance managers)

Please mark my response as correct so others who may have similar query in future can access this thread easily

Thanks,

Swapnil

OK - As a Control Owner (1st line - Compliance User / GRC Business User Lite) I would to have an overview of all Entities, Controls, Risks, etc. next to the GRC Tasks. And I would like to see compliance / risk state dashboard. I guess the GRC Task Portal is not completely suitable for those objects and views. That's why I was leaning towards Workspaces.

What is your take on this?
