Assignment Group to process Purchase Order Records

Hi All,

I'm working with Purchase Order / PO Line Item records that are imported from an external source. They are imported as 'requested' and then need processed by different teams. I see an 'assigned_to' on the PO but no 'assignment_group' field. I don't see any assignment fields on the PO Line Item. The line items within a single PO may require processing by different teams. For now they are coordinating outside the system and I'm tasked with determining a reasonable solution within ServiceNow.

Is there a reason for having an individual assignment and not a group assignment field on the PO? Any reason I can't just add an assignment_group field to the PO and/or on the PO Line Item?

@Ryan S Procurement related activities are handled by individuals in asset management team mostly.

I sense your org has different teams and you need assignment group for reporting or some other operational activities.

In this case you will have to create the assignment group field on PO and PO line item table.

If all the Line items will have same assignment group as PP, then you can just create one on PO and show that on individual line items. This is more of precess thing than technical.
