Hello!
I am implementing HAM for my company, and we have run into a few issues with the service catalog:
- Currently, we operate with a bespoke workflow for all departments for New Computers and Supplies where the requestor can select either a laptop or a desktop with the appropriate peripherals.
- We wish to utilize HAM, but we also wish to keep the same selectable and generic "laptop" or "desktop". Unfortunately our hang up is how to associate the product models with the new requests. Would we create a generic Laptop model, then add substitutes of every model we have even though we only offer two models? Would this allow us to source from our inventory using this model? Maybe adding the models as compatibles would be more of a route to go?
If anyone has had the same situation, any information that could point me in the right direction would be great!
