HAM inventory stock order request

Hi folks,

 

I want to understand HAM inventory stock order request,  there is a catalog item and flow which comes with HAM pro plugin,

Catalog name - Hardware Inventory Stock Order

Flow - Hardware Stock Order Flow

 

I have to add an approval group in the this process, and since this is a read-only flow, I copied this flow to add the approval group but I noticed that there is no point in adding the approval group, because even without approval also catalog task is getting generated. 

 

Can you please suggest how and where can I add the approval group so that after approval only catalog task can be generated.

Hello @UKush 

 

The approach you are following is in right direction, now you need to identify at what point the catalog task are getting created and just before that activity you need place your ask for approval action and once its actioned then proceed further as per your requirement.

If you are saying that even after adding approval catalog task are getting created do check flow context and see how the flow is working and what has happened in approval action is do check logs. Do also validate that new flow is attached to your process not the OOTB one.

 

I cannot provide more context as over PDI we cannot get HAM pro installed but if you able to share some screenshot what you have done what is happening then we might be able to guide you.

Hi Vijay,

 

Thanks for your response, as I know there are 2 workflow:

  • Source Request 
  • Service Catalog Request 

which are responsible for catalog task creation and I am not sure If I modify/deactivate it, in what places it might affect the process.

In that case its better you see how the process is working as per OOTB and if your confident start making modification in lower instance validate all working process and you will be good to proceed ahead.
