Hello,
I am working on my HAM Simulator and am stuck on Create bulk stock order and need some help. I have turned this upside down and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I have triple checked spelling and steps along with the user being used. I have created the order through the stock rule, catalog item (Hardware inventory stock order) from an inventory user and admin. Approved with the correct user. Selected accept (and without) and approved the request. I have gone as far as work the request through procurement and delivery. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Instructions:
1. Create a bulk stock order for the Asset Simulator Stockroom using the below values:
- Model: Samsung SyncMaster 22" Class BackLight LED
- Quantity: 10
- Stockroom: Asset Simulator Stockroom
2. Once ordered, open associated REQ (as Eric Schroeder) and approve

Hello,
Step 1: Navigate to Submit Stock Order
In the Application Navigator, type Submit Stock Order and click on it.
This will open the form to place a new stock order.
Step 2: Fill in the Stock Order Details
Enter the following values:
Model: Samsung SyncMaster 22" Class BackLight LED
Quantity: 10
Stockroom: Asset Simulator Stockroom
Once done, click the Order Now button at the top right.
Step 3: Open the Request Record
After clicking Order Now, a Request (REQ) number will be generated.
Click on the Request Number link to open the request form.
Step 4: Approve the Request
Scroll down to the Approvals related list (usually near the bottom of the request form).
Open the Approval record.
Click Approve to approve the request.
Regards,
Reshma Kore.

Hello Reshma,
I've followed these steps multiple times. Each time, I successfully place the request and approve it as Eric S. The problem is, these steps do not satisfy the requirement/task in the HAM Simulator exercise. Might you have any advice specifically regarding the "Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Simulator (Xanadu)", task = "Create bulk stock order (X)"?
Thank you in advance for any other help you may be able to provide.

Hello @Bustaaah ,
Thanks for pointing that out!
My original steps are based on a standard ServiceNow instance — not on the HAM Simulator provided via the Now Learning platform.
The HAM Simulator (Xanadu) is a controlled environment where the system checks for specific user actions, including using the simulator's UI and impersonating designated users (like Eric Schroeder).
If you're working inside the Simulator, be sure to:
Access it via https://nowlearning.servicenow.com
Launch the simulator from the official training course
Use only the simulator-provided interfaces to complete tasks
Otherwise, for a normal instance, the steps I shared will work to create and approve a bulk stock order.
Regards,
Reshma Kore.

The only way i got it to work on the simulator was never impersonating Eric, but staying as admin and just going right to the REQ from the link on the catalog item after order. then updating the approval to approved. not a great lab exercise as it doesn't work as written.
