In my work I've noticed there are some Product Models (Class = Hardware) that have no Asset associated. The Hardware status is in Production. Why you can create a Product Model with status in Production if you don't have an Asset associated to it? So my question is, what is the right way to create a Product Model?
- Do you create the Product Model, then attach an Asset, and depending on the Asset state (In Use, In Stock, etc) the Product Model status will be updated accordingly? (if Asset In Use, Product Model In Production)
- Do you create the Product Model, and Discovery will attach an Asset?
- Is there a way to make sure Product Models are in synch with Assets? I don't want Product Models showing In Use, with no Assets. Or is this a manual process?
Can you provide your experience? Thank you.

Hello @gab7001 ,
Initially, you have to start by creating the product model itself. You can keep the status in production (if it is intended for immediate use).
Now Assets will be attached to the product model: This can be done manually or by discovery.
