The requirement is to enable the HAM - Hardware Normalization scheduled job for all domains.
I’ve configured the scheduled job to run in every domain by setting the Run Asset Process field to true. However, I’m facing an issue with an out-of-the-box Business Rule named "Validate Enabled Domains" (related to SAM).
This rule restricts having Run Asset Process = true in more than one domain within the hierarchy — meaning, if a child domain has it enabled, it cannot be enabled on the parent (and vice versa).
I considered deactivating the Business Rule, but that could impact the Software Asset Normalization process since SAM processes can’t run simultaneously at both parent and child domain levels.
Question:
Is there a way to run the HAM Normalization scheduled job for all domains without affecting the SAM process or violating the domain hierarchy rule?
In short, due to the Business Rule restriction, I’m unable to set Run Asset Process = true for both child and parent domains.
Any suggestions or best practices to achieve this would be appreciated.
