Hi,
I am facing an issue where the asset tag value coming from Intune does not match the asset tag stored in the ServiceNow Asset table. This mismatch is causing reconciliation issues. How can I align or reconcile these asset tags so the correct value is reflected in the CMDB?
Please find the screenshot as well.

Please share a clear attachment. Your 'chatgpt' jpg shows a picture taken of a screen. That gives us no information, because zooming in doesn't even help in making it readable.
Next to that: we are missing information. You say that the asset tags aren't matching. Which system has the correct asset tag? And what caused the wrong asset tag to be in one of the systems? Is it a manual thing that wasn't recorded correctly? Or an integration gone wrong?
Either in Intune or in ServiceNow, something or someone added the wrong tag to the asset. What is your unique identifier?

Thanks for answering one question, but without the others, how do you expect us to assist? You aren't even sharing where it's going wrong. "We have two systems and they are showing different things" doesn't help us in understanding the issue. We don't have access to your instance and we can't read minds.
Please provide answers to the other questions as well (and to make it easy for all of us: use a simple snipping tool to create screenshots, instead of taking pictures of a computer screen).

Here are a few things you should check:
-
Identify the correct source for asset tag data.
Asset tag data cannot be discovered automatically; it must come either from a manual entry or from an application. -
Once the correct source is determined, create a reconciliation rule that specifies this source as having precedence.
-
If you do not want Intune to update the asset tag information, the reconciliation rule will ensure that only the chosen source updates the data.
