Hi all,
I just wanted to check and see if what our leadership is asking for is possible in either HAM, or maybe setting up something in Performance Analytics. They are wanting a inventory report of computers and show a trend (year-over-year) of our inventory of computers in production for the last few years. So they basically want to see 2022 how many computers we had in production, 2023, 2024. Seems like a simple request, until you really think about it and start digging into it. Caveat, we do not have HAM configured or fully implemented as of yet. So if this is something that can be done in HAM, please let us know. I know we can give them how many computers we have in production today, but historically, that's a problem. Has anyone else had this request, and if so, how have you dealt with it?
Thanks,

Hello @Eric_Gauthier ,
We have an OOTB Hardware asset workspace. It's worth exploring it. We have OOTB data visualization (reports) which is very useful.
So we have ignored PA reports for HAM implementation and ServiceNow is bringing a lot of new reports to the HAM workspace. Just have a look, I think you can get your outcome in OOTB.
Thanks

Since you have not implemented HAMPro as you stated in your question, the HAM Workspace won't be available.
To gather what you have asked, go to the alm_hardware table. Filter by state. Assume In Use assets are within the past 3 years of life. Once you group by model category (computer) then do a filter on state, perhaps filter out retired first and that would leave In Use plus a smattering of on order, in transit, in stock. Then you would have a list that you could turn into a report or use as a report widget in a dashboard.
Hoipe this helps.
