We've switched the Asset record to use Life Cycle Stage and Life Cycle Stage Status. We're trying to find something that shows the mapping between the Asset values and the CI values. They aren't a one-for-one match, but we haven't been able to identify how we can tell if we change a status on the Asset what it will become on the CI and vice versa. All the mappings we're finding are for legacy values. Is there a table in ServiceNow with this new mapping? Has anyone found someone who has documented this outside of the tool?

This helps, but is still confusing. If we look, for example, at Inventory/Reserved, that indicates it's an Asset Life Cycle Stage/Status. However, if that Asset has a CI, what will it's Life Cycle Stage/Status be? From my brute-force testing, it looks like it will be the same thing as the Asset; it's just not a selectable option on the CI side.

How will you handle consumable assets in a life cycle?
There is no value for consumed as with the legacy status
