Manage a sold device in HAM module

Hi all! Hope you are fine!

I need your guidance and support on this. In our company, we sell the computer laptops to employees when the they reaches the end of life. 

Today, there is a process approved by IT Managers and Finance team; this process is within a structure managed outside of Servicenow, and we would like to know if it's possible to leverage this inside it.

For example, when the state of an asset is “retired” and the substate is “sold”, the process should start automatically. I want an approval flow to start, which will first go to the IT Manager, then to the Finance Team.

I know that this can be done via customizations, but before that, I would like to know if there's any OOTB process that can be used.

Please let me know if there's anything in Servicenow that can leverage that. 🙂

Hello! I am unaware of any out of box processes that can achieve this particular functionality that you are looking for. I think that in this case you are best served to have a custom flow created that gets triggered with those assets are put into that specific state selection.
