1.Click New to create a new normalization rule.(Configuration > Normalization > Normalization Rules.)
2.Define Rule Details.
3.Identify Patterns or Create a Custom Script For example, if the Model Number is sometimes stored as "ABC-123" or "ABC 123", a normalization rule can standardize it to "ABC123".
4. Create Normalization Rule for Manufacturer.
5. Normalize Model Number Field (Model Numbers should also be normalized, ensuring consistency in their format). Define the logic for identifying and standardizing the Model Number field (e.g., "HP-12345" vs. "HP 12345").
Lastly, Test on Sample Records:Create or select records in the CMDB or Asset table (e.g., cmdb_ci_computer) and Manually modify the Manufacturer, Model Name, and Model Number fields with variations, Hit save and check whether the fields are normalized according to your rules.

@Nilesh Pol I cant see the navigation Configuration > Normalization > Normalization Rules in ServiceNow instance.
I am looking for the steps to configure Normalization for Hardware Models. I came to know that Content Service plays the major role in Normalizing the Hardware but I can't see that you have mentioned that in your comments.
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Neha
