Pass String flow variable

Guys, please help me. I have created 2 flow variables with string. For the 1st variable, I can take it from data. For the 2nd variable value, I need to get from the 1st variable via script only because I can insert the value of the 1st variable only if the number starts with 7. Please help me with how I can achieve this; if it is not 7, the value should not be inserted.
