POS Device to be managed as IT Asset in HAM Pro

Context:

We have some PCI devices - credit card scanners that we intend to asset management in ServiceNow.

It was determined that POS Device may be the most likely CI Class/Model Category to use for this hardware type. However, we have concerns with that hardware existing in the enterprise asset management area under "RETAIL" when our organization does not own that module/plug-in but that we do own HAM Pro. Reasons for our concern identified so far:
1. Completely separate form view to manage compared to the other IT Asset Hardware due to "Retail" versus "Hardware" table structure.

2. Some form sections/attributes do not appear to be available or the same without customization

3. The POS Device category can be found in some areas in the HAM Workspace, but not always where we are expecting it. 

 

My question to the community is:
If we have a credit card machine hardware type and want to use HAM Pro, are we on the right track to use POS Device Model Category/CI Class or should we be creating a custom category under alm_hardware or some other 3rd recommendation in order to optimally take advantage of HAM Pro features for this hardware?
