Hi everyone, apologies if this question is better suited for another forum.
Does anyone have experience with reporting on Contract history? We've found that creating a new contract record for each period allows us to see how the contract has evolved over time (cost, ownership changes, etc.)
Is there a way to still report on this if you're utilizing the renew feature? Renewing just updates the existing contract record, and it doesn't look like all of its prior details are captured in the contract history table. If I wanted to see how much I spent on contracts from 2020-2021, could I easily accomplish that, considering that all the records from that time have been renewed/updated to 2023-2024?
I know that there is the Contract History (clm_contract_history) table, but it appears to only have a few fields relating to term dates (out of box at least). I really would like to be able to use the intended renew functionality, but I fear that I am sacrificing a lot of other useful data if I overwrite fields like PO number, cost, description, etc.
Any guidance or suggestions are greatly appreciatedQ
