The networking team wants to track a data attribute for standard firmware version on the model table to indicate what the standard version is for that particular standard model. Is anyone doing that and what is the recommended method to track that type of information at that level?

Agreed that seems like a good way to audit but the product owners want the firmware standard designated at the model level which both CIs and Asset attach to, does that sound like a good way to do it or there another place to track that?

You can definitely add a field - but it's a slippery slope of unnecessary customisations.

Agreed, but they are tracking the models in SharePoint with this data and I really want them to use ServiceNow for all the data elements. I wasn't sure if this was something that would be tracked with TRM in EA(APM) or somewhere else in the tool, that's why I wanted to ask here before I create a custom field which I know isn't the best option.
