Career Transition to ServiceNow (HR/RMG → CSA + CIS HRSD) – Job Opportunities?

Hi Community,

I have around 13 years of experience in HR and Resource Management (RMG), handling workforce planning, demand fulfillment, and release management across multiple business units.

Recently, I started exploring ServiceNow and have been doing hands-on practice in my Personal Developer Instance (PDI), especially in HR Service Delivery (HRSD) and ITSM modules.

I am planning to complete the following certifications:
- CSA (Certified System Administrator)
- CIS-HRSD (Certified Implementation Specialist – HRSD)

I would like to get guidance from experts here:

1. With my background in HR & RMG, can I transition into ServiceNow roles like HRSD Functional Consultant or Business Analyst?
2. Will CSA + CIS-HRSD certifications significantly improve my chances of getting job opportunities?
3. What additional skills or real-time experience should I focus on to make my profile strong?
4. Are there specific types of roles or companies that value HR domain + ServiceNow combination?

Any suggestions, roadmap guidance, or real-world insights would be really helpful.

Welcome to ServiceNow Community. As you are from HR background, , interested to join Servicenow

I will suggest you to  first complete "Welcome to ServiceNow " course ,so that you can navigate smoothly within the tool. CSA will give you Admin confidence.

As you have HR exp, I will recommend you to choose implementer of HRSD in Servicenow Provided Career Journey path. 

For it you have to complete "Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) Fundamentals" , and then prepare for CIS-HRSD certification.
