Direct/manual input in Document template

Hi

I am working for a client whose HR processes require multiple documents to be generated and signed at the end of an HR Service request. These documents are structured as a mix of hardcoded text combined with variable text depending on the request. I have set up document templates to facilitate this and build them using the target record's fields and also the associated record producer's variables. However the client would like to have several instances of the variable text of the document templates to be fillable by the HR Agent assigned to the request. Is it possible to make a document template and specify certain snippets of it that can be directly/manually entered?

Cheers!

@lars7 Please see if you can use fillable PDFs for the document templates, fillable PDF not only allows dynamic population of data using the field mappings but the Agents can also add/update information from their side in the PDF preview itself.

Following is an example of one such task where the Fillable PDF can be edited from the HR Task itself.

Hope this helps.

@Sandeep Rajput Thanks for this info! We have the same business requirement where the pre-hire candidates directly populate these fields in the document template presented to them on the Employee Center portal (i.e W-4). Do the document template fields write back to the HR case fields, given that they're mapped appropriately?

@Benjie Unfortunately, the data entered within a fillable PDF remains inside the document only. Data can be mapped from the HR Case to Document template. However, once the data is entered by the user, inside the PDF it remains in the PDF itself.
