You are generating document via which way out of the three

  • Automatically
  • Multiple signatures are collected.
  • Preview, Sign, or Save

if anyone of these then refer the below link as it has some settings that need to be looked into while generating document.

Hi,

I am trying to generate PDF through Automatically Create Draft Document. But I am not able to generate the document or the document is not getting attached to case.

Is there any miss from my end.

Can you pls confirm in the HR Service configuration if the case option has selection of 'Automatically Create Draft Document '

After this, once you create a case in HR workforce administration case do you see this option ?

Next step is it to assign the case to a HR tier 1 group member and move the case  to work in progress, then impersonate as the assignee and the buttons will show up

In my ServiceNow instance, I had to manually add 'Automatically Create Draft Document' with value AutomaticallyCreateDraftDocument to the HR Service Option table [sn_hr_core_service_option].

I also found that if I created a Service Case configuration with Fulfillment type Manual, then created a corresponding new case, then manually added a Sign Document task to the case using the Add Task related link, that I would always get the Document Not Available error when viewing the task in the Portal or Platform views, no matter if I had the case option set, used a case or task template, etc. Only when I changed the Service Case configuration to Fulfillment type Service Activity, then added a Service Activity of type Task, was I able to view the document correctly. I would suggest ServiceNow consider a bug fix or future enhancement to make this work even when the task is added manually.
