Hi. This is what I am trying to achieve.
- User opens a HR Case through portal
- Manager approves
- After the approval, the user gets a new task related to the case, where he needs to add more information.
- HR Case and related task are updated with the new information
- HR Case manager recieves this new information and closes the HR Case.
Through the Flow Designer I cant create a Catalog Task.
I was able to do something with the HR Service Configuration, changed Fullfilment to Service Activity and added a task. I had to create a separate HR Service Configuration so that the task only shows different fields.
But when the user submite the new information, instead of updating the task, it creates a new one.
How can I achieve this?

Hi,
You don't need to use flow designer for this, deactivate the flow and try below.
1. Approval to manager
2. Task

I am having the same issue, which is it creates a new case. I also got another issue doing this way: through the Flow Designer I can select the Approver User to the Manager of the person that opens the case. Through Service Activity I can't select the manager of the person.

Is it creating two tasks though you have created only 1 task.
Yes, the service activities is no code type functionality. If you want to send approval to Opened by's manager , then you need to do below
1. Navigate to sn_hr_core_service_approval_option.LIST
2. Click "New", select the COE table
That's it, now you can select this option in service activity
