I have a record producer with contextual search but is not showing on the Employee Center
As far as I know, I need to add an instance, but it still does not show up on the record producer
Any idea?

@Abigail ,
Try below;
Create a variable of type custom/custom with label on the record producer,
In the variable, in the type specification section , in the widget field select the the OOTB widget - Contextual Search - Inline Results
ID - cxs-inline-results-widget
In the navigation go to
Go to the record producer configuration, select the record producer and the variable you want to use the text from to search.
For the search context use the search context that you are using for your portal or any other search context that you want to use.
When you type in the field, the contextual search widget will show you the results from the search source.

Hi Abigail,
Are you using Employee Center Pro (ECP)? Are you using AI Search? Each of these is important to help direct you. If you are using ECP, most likely the sc_cat_item page is not what's really being used when you open a catalog item/record producer. You can look at your Page Route Maps to confirm where you are being redirected to (e.g., esc_sc_cat_item).
If using AI Search, you can configure the AI Search Assist > Record Producer Configuration to help with the search results on the form.

First do it as Screenshot below to create variable for ESC
Go to the record producer configuration, select the record producer and the variable you want to use the text from to search.
Under Search Application, you will have "Search Profile ", this is where you will define search sources.
