Hello All,
I'm looking to rename HR Service and want to check implication for that action. Can we change HR Service name from AbsenceA to AbsenceB and update template/record producer names as well? Topic Category/Details stay the same. Any help in understanding issues that can arise will be appreciated.

Hi
You can go ahead and Change the Name of the existing HR Service!!
Here is what i have done :
1. Navigate to > HR Administration >HR Service Configuration
2. Look for your Respective HR service , example :
3. Change the "HR Service Name" value to your desired value, in this example it was Accomodation Request and i changes it to Accomodation Request 1
Note : Do not change any other values, else it would break the fuctionalities of relationship between Topic Detail and Category. But if you want to change anything like short description of the case, then you need to create or update the Template.
4. Test it by creating a new case:
Mark my answer correct & Helpful, if Applicable.
Thanks,
Sandeep

As long as the Topic Detail and Topic Category stay the same (as you stated) and, presumably, the COE will remain the same, I don't see much impat to renaming the service, template and record producer.
One thing to check is the HR service name for the historical cases to determine how/if any reporting will be impacted.
I would also suggest giving consideration to the communication plan to the impacted users.
Good luck!

I understand how to update HR Service name however I have an issue when try to update short description in record producer:
At least one of flow, workflow or execution plan should be filled. Otherwise, when order is placed, then even on approving request, the stages of requested item won't be updated.
