Hello,
I want to know the features of HRSM in case of limited use for just QA and Knowledge on Portal.
A company is thinking if they need HRSM additionally or can use current ITSM.
I think HRSM has some privileges even in this limited use.
- OOTB features; HR roles, HR catalog, HR case, HR chat
- Integrate with Core HR for HR profiles, and show as related information etc.
Please add some more advantage of HRSM !

Hi Hiromi
The biggest advantage of HRSM (now called HR Service Delivery) compared to building HR within ITSM is that you will have a truly HR focused product supported by a dedicated HR business unit. In addition, customers of the HR product will have a product roadmap for future enhancements and support during upgrades. Below are a few additional pieces of functionality that set the HR Service Delivery product apart from ITSM.
- Employee tasking through the portal.
- HR portal widgets.
- Scoped application allowing HR to administer their own content.
- Data security built into scoped application to segregate sensitive HR data.
- Enterprise Onboarding and Transitions application allowing for easy configuration of complex processes such as employee onboarding.
- HR specific terminology throughout the product.

WOOOP! Task extensions! One of my favorite topics
So even if HR added *NOTHING* to the base database schema, it is objectively & definitively better to have the HRSM suite as opposed to utilizing stock ITSM.
The main reason is ITSM is IT biased. All those catalog items / record producers you're building so the HR team can get their work? Well, HR will be searching for them through stacks of other tables (incident, problem, change, etc). You have to deliberately (and expensively) scale back the HR user from what the IT user gets by default. That's an up front cost and a recurring administrative cost.
