Deactivated Dropdown value but still visible for Existing incident

Hi Team,
I have deactivated existing dropdown values for one field. When I open New form deactivated drop down values are not present(it is working fine), However when I open Resolved Incident it is showing old dropdown value with new dropdown values.
How to resolve this issue?

It's likely showing because that was the selected value in the Dropdown when it was last saved. If you change the Resolved Incident from "Duplicate" to "Resolved" and save the record for example...does "Duplicate" then go away from the dropdown?
If a field has the value in it, just because you make it inactive doesn't make it go away. Wherever you had "Duplicate" would have a blank field if it did that.

Hi Sriram,
For existing records, the deactivated choice values show in blue color and you need to update those using script to update existing state values.
