Emergency Change - Request Approval UI action disappearing after few seconds ONLOAD

Hi All,
The “Request Approval” UI action on Emergency Change is disappearing after a few seconds. This issue occurs for both new and existing Emergency Changes. As soon as I create new emergency change by filling the required data, the state is 'New' but the “Request Approval” button is not visible, preventing further progression.
Thanks in advance!

hey @snehalkausa

This behavior is usually related to UI Action conditions or approval policy validation rather than a platform defect.

For Emergency Changes, the “Request Approval” UI Action is re-evaluated after the record is saved. Although the state remains New, the button will disappear if any of the required conditions are not met.

In most cases, this happens due to one or more of the following reasons:

Missing mandatory Emergency Change fields
Emergency Changes have stricter requirements. Even if fields are not marked mandatory on the form, the UI Action or approval policy may require values such as risk, impact, priority, emergency justification, assignment group, or planned start and end dates. If any of these are empty, the UI Action is hidden.

Approval policy not matching
The “Request Approval” button is shown only when at least one approval policy matches the record. If the change type, category, risk, or priority does not satisfy the policy conditions, the UI Action will not be available.

UI Action condition logic
Some out of box UI Actions include checks like isNewRecord, approval state, or workflow related conditions. After the initial save, one of these conditions may evaluate to false, causing the button to disappear.

Client scripts
Change Management client scripts can dynamically hide UI Actions based on change type, risk, role, or other field values. This can cause the button to appear briefly and then disappear after form load.

Hi @snehalkausa

I tried this in my PDI but could not find it. It looks like there might be some customization in your instance that is causing this issue.

@snehalkausa

if CHG is saved and after saving the UI action condition is not getting satisfied then it won't be shown.

did you check if any customization is done on that OOTB UI Action
