Splunk Integration with Oauth2.0

I want to implement the integration between ServiceNow and Splunk using Oauth 2.0.

Created users for Integration.
The user has 'Web access only' set to true.

After setting up the Application Registry, access was carried out from Splunk, but ‘Only interactive users can access the UI.’ was displayed and access was not possible.

Therefore, we were able to complete the connection by setting ‘web access only’ to false for the integration user and then trying to connect again.

Now that the connection has been established, is it OK to change the ‘web access only’ of the user for integration to true?

As a point of concern, will the connection be automatically reconnected when the connection is interrupted by an upgrade?

 

The application registry is set up as follows.
1. select ‘Create an OAuth API endpoint for external clients’
2. enter an appropriate ‘name’
3. share ‘Client ID’ and ‘Client Secret’ with Splunk
4. register the shared ‘redirect URL’ from Splunk
