Hi,
I want to customize compse panel in SOW
I want to add field there but not able to find a way to edit compose section

Hi Buddy,
The Compose panel (Work notes / Comments / Email) is an OOTB workspace component and it’s sealed, so it can’t be edited or extended. That’s why you don’t see any option to add fields or modify it in UI Builder or form configuration.
Basically:
You can’t add fields inside the existing Compose section
You can’t change its layout or buttons
The supported way to handle this is to:
Add a custom section/component on the same SOW record page using UI Builder and place your additional fields there, or
Capture the extra information in regular record fields outside the Compose panel
If you need full control over the compose experience, the only option is to build a custom workspace page, but that’s a larger change.
So the limitation is by design, not a configuration issue.

- Open Ui builder
- Search your workspace and open
- Check the variants used for the record page
4)
4)duplicate your variant
5) And open the variant by clicking on “editor”
6) Click on the edit test value enter table name incident , and select any record sys_id for testing and view
7)Now select the compose section and right side you will get the option to edit the compose section
8)Delete the existing variant so your duplicated variant will be visible

which field you want to add?
OOTB it's meant to show only Journal fields such as Comments/Work notes
This helps agents to quickly add notes/comments to record.
I don't think it's feasible to add any extra field
You should inform customer about this platform limitation and feature and avoid any such requirement.
