AI Search Map To Attribute Missing

Currently when i am attempting to add an indexed source for change or request i cannot see it in the drop down. I do see it from the task indexed source, is there something i missed why i cant just index the main table instead of going through task?
I also was wondering when i go to the field settings and Mappings items that extend from task and is a child table of task i cannot see the attribute for map_to in the Field Settings & Mapping record. Currently i only see map to raw or the not searchable which i don't want to use. Do i need to use this attribute?
