Hi everyone,
I need to know from where the ci records get populated in cmdb_ci_spkg table (software packages).
Is there any way to discover these software packages as there is no way i am able to discover these software CI's?
The problem is that i have a lot of duplicate software packages in cmdb_ci_spkg table.
currently the identifier is "key" field in cmdb_ci_spkg through which the software packages are identified.
Regards,
Anshu

These get discovered via the Install Software probes/sensors in discovery. It will populate this table and another table with all the add/remove install packages on windows and RPMs found on linux/unix.

I mean by the definition of discovering you wouldn't really be doing it manually. If you discover a server then it should return all and then you can report off of the software package table to figure out which servers it is on. Thanks.
