For this issue:
We also received a solution from ServiceNow to repair the "Discovery Core [com.snc.discovery.core]" plugin on the instance. The choices for the Discovery type were missing. If this still doesn't work, we were advised to export the missing discovery choice list from an OOB instance.
As recommended, we searched for the plugin, but it was not visible to us because it is only accessible to users with the MAINT role, which customers do not have. Therefore, Support repaired the Discovery Core plugin for us, and it resolved the issue.

Hi,
Please check the below article for your reference:
https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0954439
Resolution
- By default, when the discovery plugin is activated on any instance, all the options should be displayed.
- In some scenarios, it can be observed that one or the other discovery type will be missing from the dropdown.
- To address such issues, try repairing (reinstalling) the Discovery plugin (com.snc.discovery), which should fix the issue.
If you believe the solution provided has adequately addressed your query, could you please **mark it as 'Helpful'** and **'Accept it as a Solution'**? This will help other community members who might have the same question find the answer more easily.
Thank you for your consideration.

I have the exact same issue. I have all the necessary plugins installed and even tried repairing the plugin as suggested in https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0954439 yet no change.
Has anyone figured this one out yet?
