Hello folks,

We have an issue where the discovery models are showing a mismatched discovered version. Additionally, the discovery is failing with the following error: "Please check cmdb_ci_db_mssql_instance credenditals and run discovery again!".

Please check below screenshots for reference.

Could someone with expertise in this area please take a look or offer some guidance on troubleshooting this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Kindly check the credentials once and try testing the cred

2. Ensure the port is open

3. Try running the Quick discovery for the host once and see the response.

Thank you for the response.
I could not found the cmdb_ci_db_mssql_instance credenditals in my instance.  But we do have windows credentials and they are tested.
Could you please tell me which ports should be open specifically for this?

@daware-madhu103  The credentials which you can connect DB and the port would be 1433 unless any custom port defined by team.

Hi @daware-madhu103 ,

You have to create Applicative credentials for the mssql db instance, cause not all the applications discovered with the host credentials , in our case you have windows credentials and it got discovered but you donot have the credentials for the MSSL instance.

go to Discovery > Credentials >New > Appplicative credentials
