Does ServiceMapping shows connection between VM & Corresponding ESXi server?

for ESX in service mapping are u using ESX URL as a triggers point.

Service Mapping -Maps your application and Its Running Components...So ESX URL running on which servers /DBs /Web Servers etc. VM are internally managed Objects by Vcenter ESXi.

a given ESX may have >100 VM on it correct.

In Service Mapping lets say ur Mapping  for ESX setup these VMs are not playing any role Impact wise. At this point of time i can only say it may need a deep customization.

Hi @Rahul Priyadars

I am Discovering it through vCenter.  I am asking mapping reverse way.

Like in Service Map, i have Web , App & DB Servers & need to show in map that servers are depended/Configure on which ESXi box.

I got what you are saying -

In your environment you ran Vcenter Discovery, IP based Horizontal Discovery.

Currently do u have relationships/connection between ESX n VMs (Win Server Virtualizes :: Virtualized By  ESX) ????

Now when u run the Top down service mapping you are looking for Connection Between A server/Host of the MAP  and Underlying ESX host.

I have not started any service mapping yet.

Hi @Rahul Priyadars

Have created one service map. But its not showing connection between VM & ESXi.

But if i open dependency map it shows relationship.

In that case run the Service Mapping Top Down Discovery and Update here..
