When I converted a Business Service Record [cmdb_ci_service] (classified as an Application Service) using the Convert UI Action Button, I am unable to change the operational status of the new Application Service Record [cmdb_ci_service_auto] Operational Status to 'Operational' without an Entry Point.
As we are not using Service Mapping at this time, is this a known issue with converting Service Records to Application Services to align to the new CSDM Service Table structure? Should Applications without Service Mapping stay as cmdb_ci_service records?

Hi,
We also faced this issue and we disabled this business rule 'Change to operational status' which is causing this issue. We are planning to activate when we start use Service mapping.
Regards,
Vivek

Hi Vivek,
We have the same situation and are also considering disabling this business rule. Concerns were raised about the effect it may have on the Impact Engine. Did you notice degradation or errors from your Impact Engine processing operational Application Services without at least one entry point?
Regards
