If you're running Discovery, each discovery schedule you can associate a location and it will add that location to any CI it finds in that scan.

It really depends on how it's configured on your instance. In our organization, we have our location table being populated via an integration with Trirega. The location is being set on individual CI's mainly through ServiceNow Discovery, but also is set for some CI's via other data sources such as SCCM, Airwatch, etc.

How the Service Now defined the location of the CI based on the IP?

How will I make Quick Discovery option to function the same way as running Discovery Schedule in terms of populating the location field on the CI record?
