Dear All,
We have just upgraded our madrid instance to orlando version.
We have also enabled the "probe to pattern" migration in discovery for the first time.
previously we were using probes entirely. Now how to check its working or not.
I tried to discover some CIs but not find any evidence. the discovery is still same as it was previously
No change in discovery logs or Ecc queue.
To migrate from probe to patter we follow the steps as mentioned in "https://hi.service-now.com/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB0694477" and through UI button in navigation panel
Regards,
Anshu

In the Discovery configuration - you will know if you are using Pattern-based discovery by looking at each Classifier (Discovery Definition>>CI Classification). There will be an entry called HorizontalDiscoveryProbe-Horizontal Patt that will be set to active. The specific pattern will be in the Pattern column.
For example, the configuration for Pattern-based discovery for a Network Switch is as follows (Discovery Definition>>CI Classification>>SNMP and select Standard Network Switch):
In the the Discovery Log, you will also see a difference. If a pattern is running in discovery you will see messages like the following:
In the the ECC Queue, you will also see a difference. If a pattern is running in discovery you will see messages like the following:

Hi,
Try to do quick discovery on any Windows Server or Network device. Then check the ecc queue you should see only pattern logs and no probe logs.
Thanks,
Ashutosh
