Hi,
which is the best practice to get all CIs correlated to Business Applications in CMDB? I don't need to know the list of CI related to Business Services, but the list of CI related to each single Business Application.
Thanks & Regards, Giovanni

I am assuming that in ur CMDB - You have Infr Cis present and Business Application CIs present but not connected using Any kind of relationships. Let us know ur Current State ?
As a best Practice 1- Run Service Mapping against your application to Create MAPS at all layer Business-Middleware-Infra .
If you do not have Service Mapping then Manually using Load file you can connect the Application Ci with Infra CIs.

Hi Rahul,
I have Business Application CIs correctly related to other CIs (we don't have the Service Mapping module, but the maps are created manually after Discovery phase).
We have some Business Application in underlying level of each Business Service. I would retrieve all sys_id of CIs related with Business Application that I am checking. Which is the best practice for this operation?

So you need to Start Traversal from Business Application to Southbound Infa and Middleware CIs - Correct.
Hope this article will help you in traversing the CMDB relationships tree
