IP Switch discover as duplicate in ServiceNow Discovery

Hi,

There is a IP Switch in ServiceNow discovery keeps getting discovered via ServiceNow with the same name and serial number, but with the different IP address. 

Please suggest what to do to resolve this issue.

So there is only 1 record for this IP switch in CMDB?

Hi Rahul,

Like there is always three Ip switches discovered with the same name but different Ip address. We have always make 2 Ip switches duplicate and make them retired.

I am able able to under stand why 3 Ip switches were discovered with same name.

Please suggest some solution for that.

Hi Nikhil,

Can you check the "Identification Rules" for the CI Class IP Switch?
Is this still out of the box?

Or is there a rule that includes the IP Address? (This is not out of the box)
