ITOM License report question

Hello all.

To calculate the ITOM licenses that I have I created a report that catches all the elements that my license cover. Additionally, I checked the ITOM License Report available in the ServiceNow tool.

I see that the amount doesn't match. I checked in the ServiceNow Docu (https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/paris-it-operations-management/page/product/it-operations-management/task/check-ci-count.html) and found that this Report obtains a list of ITOM elements that have any event/alert related to the last 90 days with the elements configured for the Health tool (servers, etc...) I checked the Alerts and the Events table but can't find anything.

Doubt: Could I know which is the source of this report to evaluate why it doesn't match with mine? there must be a table or a filter that I can check...

Thanks for your time.

Best regards.

If records are retained for a longer period, larger volumes of data are stored, and performance may be impacted. But Event Management License Job Runs every hour .

If required, shorten the retention period (in seconds) for records of the following tables:

  • Alerts [em_alert] (Default: 7,776,000)
  • Alert History [em_alert_history] (Default: 7,776,000)
  • Impact Status [em_impact_status] (Default: 7,776,000)

Job Name- Event Management — Node Count

The Event Management - Node Count job calculates the number of unique nodes that send event information, either directly or through third-parties, to Event Management and are eligible for licensing in the last year. The information from this job is stored in the License Usage [em_unique_nodes] table for visibility by all users. CIs bound to alerts are counted towards licensing; if there are no CIs that are bound to alerts, the event node field is used.
