Hi,
Where can I find a list of all OOTB CMDB classes and their attributes?
I've searched the documentation but could find anything matching.
Thanks.

Hi Dan,
I never seen such a comprehensive list. What is the requirement for this. Since we are talking about the CMDB that has about 700 tables when all applications that uses it are active and I have no clue of what the totally number of attributes (fields) are here, but I guess that is more than a handful 🙂

Hi Göran,
Engaging a new customer I was asked to provide this list. Maybe just a list of classes will be enough at this point. How can I get that?
Thanks.

Hi Dan,
I would go with the suggestion that others has posted. go to the dictionary and filter on the tablename starts with cmdb_ci. Then you get both the tables and all the fields. If you just want the tables, put in the type = collection like this:

Classifications are groups of configuration items (CIs) that share attributes and are stored in their own table. As stated above, to gather that list into one would that pulling information in from 700 different tables.
Each classification is in it's own table.
Let them review the CI Class Manager within the instance. For instance, in the Hierarchy navigate to Wndows Server>Hardware>Computer>Server>Windows Server as an example. Looking at the "Columns" this this includes the derived and add attributes for the CI Class.
If this is a new implementation, I would recommend that you limit the scope to Network devices, Windows Servers, Linux, AIX, ESX, UPS, Printers, all which have the needed attributes.
As above, why do they need to view a comprehensive list from Serivcenow documentation? This is consistently updated with each release.
