Hi All,

I am having the device for which single IP is cofigured against two different hostnames with different serial numbers.

Means it is a cluster type.

but we are able to discover single device instead of two devices in servicenow.

Please guide me.

Thanks & Regards,

Pritesh

Hi @Community Alums

I meant to check the discovery logs not to validate that pattern name or content. Please check and you can debug pattern too.

If you are unaware of this stuff, I would strongly recommend to create a support case with us and someone will assist.

Hi @Community Alums

I guess it depends on how the discovery pattern is developed. May I know which exact network device you are trying to discover?

You can either tell the pattern name i.e. being triggered in your case.

I am trying to discover the "IP Switch".

i think this is one of the issue i had faced with hanpa switches,

so, ask your network team to configure the 1 switch as master and another one as slave so whenever the discovery pings the assets it will get the data of both assets as one as slave and master, but the master switch will be the ci name and other details.

Please click on "help full" it resolves your issue.

Hello,

Thank you for suggestion!

Will our ServiceNow discovery fetch both master and slave details automatically?

by discovering single IP ?
