Any idea printer discovery works since we have printers from different vendors as we have seen the servicenow have only generic snmp printer probe and hp wmi printer probe

'Configuration item' discovery uses SNMP to do its collection, those other ports are there for the IP Address type discovery that won't create any CIs. So you want to focus on the SNMP, port 161

Hi,
What exactly you want. Because servicenow supports Network printer discovery.
Thanks,

We utilize the generic print MIB as all vendors should respond accordingly for information we gather out of the box. We put that HP Probe in there years ago because HP does such a "good" (quotes intended) around setting specific models in the genric MIB, so we had to go ask a separate section for that info and why its there. Never saw a cause to do it for others.

Hi,
Is the printer discovery is using ports 9100,515 or is it using snmp port 161,162. When I tried the printer only discovery using shazzam probe on a printer it is returned with snmp time out error, but the port 9100 and 515 are open. Confused which ports we should use.
