I'm getting the following error while trying to run Discovery on a vCenter instance:
Unable to establish connection to https://x.x.x.x/sdk (where x.x.x.x is, of course, the real IP Address)
I can browse the url from IE on the MID Server, but just keep getting the error in the Discovery logs.
Any pointers?
Thanks

Do you have the vCenter credential in the credentials table?

Yes we did, but it turned out to be a typo in the password that was throwing everything off
Thanks

Hi Aleck,
I'm getting very similar error message of ""Unable to establish connection to https://10.240.87.55/sdk: TypeError: [JavaPackage com.vmware.vim25.mo.ServiceInstance] is not a function."
what concerns me is that "is not a function" message. so besides credential issue, any reason you can think of?
Thanks

Looks like you don't have the necessary .jar file to do the query... Check the app (Mid server > Jar files) and see that there is an attachment of the necessary viva file.. if not, follow the URL and attach ......Restart the midserver and test it all out again.....
